I am 31 and I recently got blood work back and was told that I have too much iron in my body and to stop taking my multivitamin (women's one-a-day). My gyno recommended taking 50+ Companion Multivitamin, whihc has no iron. Am I okay to take this since I am no where near 50 or near menapause? Do you know anyone under 50 who takes this as their multivitamin? Thanks for your feedback.

If you have been recommended to take a multivitamin without iron (and specificially recommended 50+ Companion), it is fine to take this supplement at any age. The reason this product is usually recommended and taken by women who are peri- or post-menopausal is because it does not contain iron. That is, women do not typically need to take supplemental iron when they no longer have a monthly cycle (because they are not regularly losing blood). So, if you do not need (and should avoid) iron supplementation, this multivitamin would meet that requirement.

One more thing - the reason this product is called "Companion" is because it was designed to be a companion-product to a calcium/vitamin D supplement (specifically, Theralogix TheraCal). So, if you do need to take supplemental calcium and vitamin D, you will need to take another product along with the 50+ Companion multivitamin, as this product will not meet those needs.
