    Trying to be short here...

About four months ago I went to the hospital for kidney pains. I tried to deny the pain but it got really bad after two weeks. My sister and family urged me to go to the doctor since stones run in the family... every female has had it.

They tested my urine and found a little blood... and the CT scan came up normal. I swear I felt a stone moving... I got really hot and sweaty, really sick feeling.. and I felt something move from my kidney to my bladder and felt pretty uncomfortable.

Pain went away. Just had occasional pain here and there since then....

Now recently, four months later... kidney pain has come back pretty bad. I went to the doctor again... this time they found a lot of blood in my urine, the highest level, 3. They ordered me a CT scan ASAP.... came back normal. I also felt something moving from my kidney to my bladder that hurt pretty bad... got really hot and sweaty and sick feeling....

I am getting really annoyed with kidney pain and not having any answers. Has anyone been through this before? Why all this pain and all symptom of stones.... but no stones in the CT scan??

The doc made me a referral today for a urologist... maybe this will help

    ---

the doc says I have t 4mm kidney stones. Im pretty sure I passed both of them because the past 2 days have been alomst pain free. My right testicle still aches a bit when i move suddenly or walk around.

It doesnt burn when I pee, and I can eat and drink anything without throwing up. I know my mother had a kidney stone after she had me but she hasnt had one since. Im 25 and in pretty normal health, and this is my first one.

So, after passing them my urine still seems a but cloudy, I was wondering if that was normal for an after effect. Thanks

I had a big stone blocking my kidney for a long time, and now my right kidney is not functioning at all anymore. My doctor says my rigth kidney has to be removed before infection starts. Even though he assures me that there are a lot of people living with one kidney and I will have a normal life after surgery, I am still very afraid. Do dead kidneys never have a chance to revive? Do I really have to remove my right kidney? Thank you very much.

  2. Response from Theralogix Dietitian

    Hello there,

You could both benefit from a discussion with a urologist. Ask your primary care doctor to refer you.

We can advise or offer an opinion on nutrition-related aspects of the condition. We do have a nutritional supplement called TheraLithXR which is developed to improve urine chemistry.
(This statement is not reviewed by the FDA, and this product is not intended to diagnose, treat cure or prevent any disease).

In recent research, TheraLithXR demonstrated an 80% reduction in stone recurrance.

    Regards,
